–  1 3/4  cups  flour

4. Pat the dough into the bottom of a 9×13″ pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden brown.

5. Meanwhile, cook mushrooms in butter over medium heat until they release their liquid and are lightly browned.

6. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Add mushrooms and mix until smooth.

7. Pour the mushroom custard over the baked crust.

8. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the center is set.

9. Cool completely before cutting.

10. Garnish with candied mushrooms.

To make candied mushrooms, chop dried mushrooms into small pieces. Heat sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved. Add mushrooms and boil until the liquid is absorbed. Spread the mushrooms on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them cool down before using.
